| TELL ME ABOUT THE MUSIC- Variety is the key for this CD. Everything from ballads and salsa, to guitar, banjo, flute and other instruments. In addition, you’ll hear spoken voices and some fun percussion. The author livens things up with a light rap on ‘FANIMALS,’ a song that names many animals, but leaves her wishing to see moose antlers! Kid’s voices and surprising sound effects in just the right places add to the fun. Many of the songs have rhythmic meter suitable for jumping rope. Please click on the 'Listen' tab to enjoy a few bars. | |
CAN I READ THE WORDS? Yes. Lyrics for all 28 songs are included in a spiffy 12-page booklet. In addition, you’ll find a mission statement, photos and suggestions for using the CD. Mountain icons beside some of the words let you know you’ll find more information at the end of a song- like definitions, safety rules or other helpful hints. |

| AREN’T RHYMES JUST FOR BABIES? Not really, although babies do love rhyming sounds. Poetry has many forms, with rhyming verse being one of the favorites. People of all ages who sing lyrics are often singing rhymes. Educators know that rhyming verse is an excellent teaching tool. Adults (and kids) often use rhyming words to help them remember important information. |
